Ok let's see - we have an image hosted on a profile that is 1 day old and asks you to visit a website with a strange url with a promise of a financial reward on an another website. How do you even imagine that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.

Bronies go nuts, and Nintendo Sucks?Equestria Girls
The trailer to "Equestria Girls" (the humanized MLP spinoff film) finally was released today. Aaaannnd everyone's freaking out. Again.
You know, it actually looks pretty decent. Bronies... please understand: I know you're a major unexpected demographic for the show. I know you enjoy seeing shout-out's become canon within the show, and appreciate how the creators do little things here and there for you. But... the show isn't made for you. This is not Cartoon Network and the target demographic isn't 25 year olds in college. You're a nice addition to the target demographic of little girls, but you are not the driving force behind MLP.
I don't want this to sound mean, but it needs to be said. This is where it becomes very important to understand the fine line between being a fan of the show and thinking that because you've invested so much energy into the show that you're entitled to things.
I'm sure the movie won't be as bad as everyone makes it out to be. It honest

Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Hi, my name is Ivan. I just created this DA account and will be posting new works I think every day or so. I love charcoal drawings and painting with oils.

I'm highly influenced by photography and hope to get better at it. Because I really love drawing from reference I just feel bad when this reference is not mine.

Thank you for the nice welcoming. I had been getting a lot of positive feedback and I read every single comment !

Edit: At the moment I'm studying Art in Florence. Waking up everyday thinking what should I paint today. For some reason I had this temptation to paint bathtubs, sinks and wood.

I painted from photos alot in the beginning and then I went to Norway and studied with Odd Nerdrum and painting from life became my goal because that's what he does. But in my real life I can't get people to sit for long enough of a time to paint an entire portrait so I decided to incorporate my photography an painting into my work. I took some black and white photo classes and learned a bunch of stuff

I like painting from photos too is my point. Are you studying at the academy in Florence?

LOl not really an Academy. More like our cheap school is renting this studio and let us use it. Thats pretty much it. No one really teaching us here only us.

I cant believe you studied with Odd Nerdrum. Was he great in person ?

Odd is an amazing person. He is very kind and enormously compassionate. I will tell you that when I was there I was totally intimidated. I couldn't paint for a week or so. I was painting some apples once and he told me that he could see these floating in space. so I straightened up some edges a bit. He is very funny

Your talent is incredible and has provoked a gigantic inspirational wave in me...
When I see this kind of work and realize that if I was more disciplined I could achieve to it too, it produces me a shock.
And though I don't regret it I start to ask myself "Again, why are you studying Law?"

If I could, I'd divide myself in two or three more Katherine's, so I would have time to do everything I love. However I know that I need to put more effort, so maybe I can join all the things I love in my life.
